The Story of Honey's
Gordon "Trey" Bargas was raised in the restaurant business. His father was the owner-operator of Ruby's Restaurant, which started under the Perkins Road overpass in 1969. His father then built his own location of Ruby's off College Drive in 1979.
He was born in the restaurant business. His mother also worked there. Some of her recipes are still used today. The Honey's coleslaw recipe is based on her Bombay salad dressing. Her remoulade salad dressing is also being used, as well as her Beef Pot Roast. That is just to name a few.
It was from Ruby's that the inspiration for Honey's was born.
